This year too, the collaboration between Dr. Federica Berselli and the ITCG CERBONI was renewed regarding the PCTO hours (formerly school-work alternation) that the students of the Graphics and Communication major must complete during the three-year upper secondary school period.
The novelty compared to previous years was represented by the opportunity offered to the students to work concretely in the creation of photo and video content for the promotion of AETALIA, a new Elban brand of luxury bags recently presented in Geneva.
For a week, with full time hours, two groups of students of the 5th Graphics class worked closely with the designer, understanding her needs in terms of communication and creating the requested materials. Various photo sessions and videos were thus shot in the laboratory, of the designer, of the products (both in studied settings and in the soft box to obtain images suitable for online shopping) and also of a model in the evening on the Calata di Portoferraio.
“The girls from the Graphic Department were great – comments Federica Berselli, stylist and owner of AETALIA - Having them in my production atelier was like having a team of professional digital creators at my disposal. Thanks to the excellent preparation provided by the school, the girls were perfectly able to create the photos and videos I wanted to communicate my new brand… and I know a thing or two about communication.
I have always maintained that ITCG Cerboni is an excellent school and that the Graphics and Communications major prepares students in an excellent way, so much so that they are ready to work in the graphics and digital sector right away. Today this type of study is in great demand, as it is absolutely transversal to any type of activity: from hospitality to catering, from commerce to services, everyone needs social profiles, websites and images and/or videos through which to make themselves known to the public… and therefore a professionalism like this is certainly very useful.”
